Faro de Palermo, Palermo, Sicily, Italy

The Faro de Palermo is a concrete tower located on the north mole in the main harbour at Palermo on the Island of Sicily in Italy. It is located in an industrial area of the port. The original station was established here in 1884. Photos taken in September 2011

  1. Usually, industrial areas are not nice and people do not go there to visit because they know there is nothing to see. In Italy I guess everything is beautiful and worth seeing so they go anyways. The same happens in Argentina. The furnished apartments in buenos aires I stayed while I was there were located in industrial areas and tourists were there anyways!
